So after countless nights off no sleep because of new facts and future things about Columbia, I think it is about time I share some more things.

1. a place call tako-sushi is suppose to open this year in the vista on Assembly St.
2. a new oyster bar owned by Liberty Tap Room is opening on Gervias St.
3. sc bar is building a three story conference center on Park and Hampton.
4. a new cupcake place has just opened in the vista
5. a new building called twelve14 will be opening in the vista on Pulaski St.
6. a new condo complex called the lofts at printer square is almost complete
7. 521 Gervias which is at the publix is begin redone.
8. Springhill Suites has opened a new hotel in the vista.
9. the nickelodeon theater is moving
10. a awesome looking waterfront park is coming to the new baseball stadium taking up about 5 blocks and is going to help the look of the city even more.

This is the link. It is awesome looking but won't be finished for another 7 years. The coolest thing and most needed thing in my opinion is the new park which we desperately need to help the downtown look awesome.

Olympics!

Oh what a wonderful time of the year it is! Mainly because of all the competition and USA pride! I watched the opening ceremony and thought it was going really good until frickin Time Warner Cable went out and didn't come on until the morning! So I missed everything after the athletes came out! So thanks to my internet, cable, and TV provider, I missed the one of the best things on TV other than the Supper Bowl this year! But again, I digress! I personally enjoy watching speed skating, luge, hockey, and snowboarding the most! I hope and know the US will do even better than we are right now!

What is that white stuff? Thats what she said!

I see snow outside my door and it is at leat five inches thick. That is a big deal here in SCar becuase we enjoy our sun more than anything so when it snows everyone panics. Today, my school got out an hour early becuase of snow. This is good becuase people in Columbia are lets just say, not motorly inclined. Snow is like rain in California, it is rare and everyone panics when it happens. It is so cool to have snow. In my opinion, if it is going to be freezing everyday around here, i want snow. I know this isnt going to last long but it is going to be fun while it is here.

Super Bowl Sunday!

It is super bowl sunday and it is time for everyone to take sides. As an avid football fan i have been following both the saints and colts closly and have chosen a side. I have chosen the larger majority of the colts.
Let me explain why. They have a larger andvantage becuase of one person. Lets say it together; Peyton Manning! Also, they have more big play makers. On the saints side, they have a good quarterback and a over rated reciever. I am pretty sure that it will be a close game but in the end, colts will win super bowl 44.

Hard Roc...Freestyle Mu..WHATEVER!

So since I live in SC it is only obvious that Myrtle Beach is like a second home to me and my family. Ever since the HRP opened I have been going to it regually and got season passes to freestyle. So, news cam out that there are new investors are coming in to take over some management and other things. I hope they don't change the name of the park because that will cause even more confusion. What they need to focus on is marketing, working with the state, themeing everything, adding more rides and coasters, fixing up the closed outlet mall next to it, and tickets. That seams like a lot but if you are going to own a theme park, you should know what the heck you are doing! So, i better so some major action going on at that park or it will be going the way down.

What the Heck is Going on With Innovista?

A few years ago USC started this project called innovista. It was all about making Columbia a better city. Well, after about 2 years of everything going to plan, some idiot decides to quit and screws the university and the city. (go to innovista.sc.edu for pics and crap) So for about the past year and a half, two big research buildings, a gigantic plop of land for a park, and a lot of money have either been siting there unfinished or empty all becuase of one dubass! So a few days ago they finaly hired a new staff to finish it. It is about frickin' time! The concept art I have seen of this thing is amazing and will make the city cleaner looking which it needs! So, I hope this thing gets finished becuase other wise, it was a waste of tas payer's and student's hard earned dough!

USC BEATS 1 UNBEATEN KENTUKY

What a day ir has been for me and all of the other gamecock faithful! My unranked 11-8 team beat the unbeated number one team. The garnet army was in full effect alomg with the sold out arena! Kentuky did not show me that much just that when it comes to a apposing team with fans that makes the arena shake, they almost pee in thier pants. The main reason we won was becuase of the best baskerball player in gamecock history. It is still sinking in slowly but surely! This is the best moment to my history as a gamecock baskeball!

eating habbits of kids

Whenever I was a kid I eould eat anything that was put in frpnt of me. My parents did not cater to me evrytime I wanted chicken nuggets. It was either eat what everone else is eating or starve. I completly agree with that. My cousin is in the 6th grade and only eats pizza,chicken,and hotdogs with other fatty sides. He weighs over 145 pounds. His parents will go and get him chicken fingers just so he dosent have to eat whatever one else has yo becuase he dosent like it.:( It really grinds my gears becuasr he has been like this since about age 7 and his parents dont care about it. What has the world come to where everyttime you go out to eat your kids either get macaroni and chicken as a meal! Back in my day i bwould get steak as meal!

What this place needs is a little pizazz!

Columbia, SC, the city I call home, is a wonderful southern city it has a lot of thigns to do but not everything I thing it needs to become a thriving part of the tourism economy on South Carolina.

Something this city needs is a water park. And No, I am not talkin' about some punnie little thing that is make just fro a baby. I am talking about the best water park in the state. That is a big challenge because SC has a lot of nice water parks! Another thing Cola needs is a entertainment district like a downsized version of Broadway at the Beach but with a more city like atmosphere to it. Also, we need a tall 450ft. new tower to be built slap dap in the middle of the city because I am probably the only one that notices but the skyline is pretty crappy but with a new modern building that could all be fixed! A new waterfront urban park is also needed to help add to the atmosphere. I was thinking something with a play ground,picnic tables, really cool looking river with special effects, and no hobos in the park. My last thing is, a South Carolina Aquarium location in Columbia, SC. I know what you are thinking, there is already a SC aquarium on Charleston. That is why there would be two locations wit different things that set them apart from the other. If this does not work, add the Mall of SC! Well, those are my ideas! I hope they are ok....

Scott Brown has won!!!

This is a great day for me! Clemson lost in the last seconds, Democrats just got ANOTHER rude awakening, and lunch was good! WOW! Now we can hopefully have bipartisanship and a health car bill that is what when truly need! But, do not be fooled, not everything today was lollipops. I did get intentionality pushed into my locker by a douche bag! He acted like he was tripping but was doing it on purpose just to make himself feel more confident in himself and to show off to his friends! But, i digress.
